We are pleased to introduce the new catalogue — "Solutions for renewable energy"
24.06.2024Streamer Electric AG strives to provide the best innovative technology solutions for renewable energy projects in order to increase productivity and reliability, making operating more efficient.
The new catalogue "Solutions for renewable energy" is available for views and downloads.
Catalogue includes 3 products:
1. Line Lightning Protection Devices (LLPDs) — a unique lightning protection solution for overhead lines with EasyQuench (EQ) technology that has been invented and patented by Streamer.
Lightning Protection Devices drastically reduce lightning outages by preventing flashovers of insulator caused by direct and indirect lightning strikes and break the following short circuit in less than 10 ms. LLPDs are easily retrofitted on any line shape. Moreover, special grounding and low soil resistivity are not required for this type of device, hence it can be implemented literally everywhere. As result of installing LLPDs on the medium voltage lines, the lightning trips are avoided which means: · no production loss; · no safety hazard. LLPDs are essential for protecting wind farms from lightning activity and minimizing production losses and safety hazards. |
2. Online moisture monitoring & Drying solutions for oil insulated transformers (TRANSEC) is a system to monitor and extract the moisture in power transformers of all sizes.
Moisture is one of the primary causes of failures for power transformers and one of the main degradation factors for the insulation paper. It, therefore, increases the risks of operation failures and shortens the life expectancy of the asset.
Maintaining a low level of moisture in a transformer provides significant benefits in terms of operations and risk as it carries a constant high insulation level. TRANSEC is solution monitors the relative saturation, the PPM, and the temperature of the oil and extracts moisture from the oil.
Installed in offshore and onshore wind turbine stations, TRANSEC enhances the reliability of critical assets by maintaining low moisture levels in transformer oil. |

3. Fire Prevention and Overheating Control system FIPRES is a new and unique technology that allows finding dangerous overheating of loose contacts long before a fire hazard occurs, thus avoiding material damage from fire, loss of profit and life-threatening situations.
FIPRES is a preventive system that works 24/7 and controls all critical connections without human intervention in low voltage and middle voltage electrical panels. FIPRES works on principle of early detection, providing detection of overheating in a range 80...130 °C, which are abnormal temperatures for electrical equipment, but still months before any dangerous situation, as cable insulation starts to deteriorate at 200 °C and at 280°C starts to melt and smoke. Overheating control system, FIPRES, prevents potential fire incidents in combiner boxes of solar power plants and ensure continuous production. |
We invite you to explore our catalogue to learn more about these innovative solutions and how they can optimize renewable energy projects for increased efficiency, reliability, and safety. We are proud to announce the launch of the new company logo as part of the ongoing evolution of our company’s brand.
Why protecting the line against lightning with a CLG? or LLPD?
CIGRE 2022 finished last week
Streamer met with its old friends over the world - it was a nice and warm event, the first big one after the Covid times. CIGRE was also very useful in setting up new cooperation opportunities, mostly in the European region.
First LLPD installation for E-Distribuzione near Oderzo, Veneto, Italy
In 2019, the University of Napoli contacted Streamer Electric AG in order the find a lightning protection solution for medium voltage lines. Prof. Amedeo Andreotti was looking for medium voltage line protection devices for E-Distribuzione, the Distribution utility of Italy, part of the ENEL group owner of the electrical network in Italy but also many other electrical networks around the world. E- Distribuzione is actively looking to improve the lightning outage rate on their overhead line network and particularly in the northern part of Italy.
FIREX International Exhibition 2022 finished
The new LLPD Catalog 2022 is available for downloads
Some significant improvements implemented inside the document will help the user to better understand Streamer product portfolio and especially topics related to EasyQuench system and Line Lightning Protection Device product range, its operation principles and added values.
The international exhibition Intersec Expo finished this week
At the end of September, Streamer's topics have been presented at ICLP-SIPDA
The ICLP-SIPDA 2021 is a conference organized by the scientific committees of the International Conference on Lightning Protection (ICLP) and the International Symposium on lightning Protection (SIPDA). Conference took place from 20th to 26th September 2021. One of the two representatives from Streamer, Alexander Chusov, shared information about this conference and his thoughts about it
Ivan Zhitenev took part in the 50th St. Gallen symposium
The St. Gallen Symposium is a student initiative aimed at fostering an intergenerational dialogue and bringing world leaders and experts together.
