Supply of the dM35z LLPDs to Malaysia
01.07.2020In late December 2019, the LLPDs were shipped from our warehouse in Saint Petersburg following the extensive examination of the production facilities of Streamer and the flow process audit performed by the customer during the same period. After the audit was passed, permission for the supply was granted.
The products were sent to Thailand where they were packaged into individual boxes together with all necessary accessories.
Alexander Nefedov, the Head of the International Department, commented:
"The cargo was shipped from Thailand to Malaysia by cars in early March 2020. The first installations and the training where we tell about the product and show how to install it on different poles were planned for the end of March. The customer has several pole kinds for the 33 kV OHLs and we will have to show the way to install the LLPDs on each kind. The installation is preceded by a detailed elaboration of different assembly ways and configurations in cooperation with the colleges from the R&D Subdivision".
In order to facilitate the process and to eliminate mistakes as far as possible, Streamer has developed instructional videos demonstrating the step-by-step process of assembly and installation of the LLPDs on the line.
As soon as we pass the trainings on all pole kinds, the large-scale installations on overhead lines in different parts of the country will be started.

CIGRE 2022 finished last week

In 2019, the University of Napoli contacted Streamer Electric AG in order the find a lightning protection solution for medium voltage lines. Prof. Amedeo Andreotti was looking for medium voltage line protection devices for E-Distribuzione, the Distribution utility of Italy, part of the ENEL group owner of the electrical network in Italy but also many other electrical networks around the world. E- Distribuzione is actively looking to improve the lightning outage rate on their overhead line network and particularly in the northern part of Italy.
