Streamer presented new products in the Asian Utility Week 2019
05.09.2019Streamer took part in the annual Asian week of intelligent power technologies Asian Utility Week 2019 on September 3-4. This significant event in the energy area of South-East Asia took place in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia.
The representatives of government agencies and the largest private power companies of China, Vietnam, Cambodgia, Laos, Malaysia, Indonesia gathered in the Asian Utility Week. The line lightning protection devices from Streamer have already presented in many of these countries.
Sergey Kalachin, the Managing Director for Transec Electric, Riza Maulana, the Manager for the South-East Asia Region, Mathew Zink, the Manager for the Indo-China Region, and Aleksandr Nefedov, the Head of the International Sector of Streamer, were the members of our delegation. We presented new products in the Asian market this year, i.e. a continuous temperature monitoring systems for contact connections RIF Fipres, equipment for oil-filled transformer insulation drying Transec, line lightning protection devices, and a surge counter.
The Asian Utility Week celebrates its 20-year anniversary this year. Over these years, it has proven itself as a leading exhibition and conference in the energy area in Asia aimed to provide an efficient cooperation for a stable and safe power supply to all countries of this region.
The organizers made the event even more ambitious this year; they attracted front line global experts and participants from all largest and powerful Asian suppliers of power energy and public utilities.

In 2019, the University of Napoli contacted Streamer Electric AG in order the find a lightning protection solution for medium voltage lines. Prof. Amedeo Andreotti was looking for medium voltage line protection devices for E-Distribuzione, the Distribution utility of Italy, part of the ENEL group owner of the electrical network in Italy but also many other electrical networks around the world. E- Distribuzione is actively looking to improve the lightning outage rate on their overhead line network and particularly in the northern part of Italy.
