Streamer's LLPD have been installed in China again.
14.10.2019
110 kV LLPD were installed at a wind farm in Chuxiong city in the Yunnan province of south China. The Installation was made for the State Development & Investment Corporation (SDIC).
SDIC is the largest state investment company engaged in industrial investments, financial services and public asset management. One of its businesses is wind power. A power line to the wind farm will be protected with Streamer's arresters. The scope of the project is great enough for this voltage class - 120 devices on 40 poles.
"The customer surprisingly easily agreed to try our innovative devices. It was enough for the distributor to give a single presentation of our unique technology and they agreed to try it. The 40 most affected parts were selected. To do this, SDIC even purchased data from meteorologists. Line shutdown is a direct loss for the line operator”, commented Alexander Nefedov, head of Streamer international sector.
According to him, Streamer considers China as one of the most promising world markets. Therefore the company is interested in increasing its presence there.
This is not the first installation of Streamer arresters in China. In late summer, SAd110z.CNs were installed at the Lao Jian Shan wind farm in Chuxiong city, in the same Yunnan province. And even earlier, a project was implemented for Chinese Railways in the city of Yulin, in the Shanxi province of northwest China.
