Streamer introduces new lightning protection technologies in Paris
14.09.2018Streamer has been a traditional participant of CIGRE Sessions: the Company regularly uses this option to introduce their advanced scientific and technological inventions, novelties of product range to the world energy society. This year, Streamer staff took part in all the events of the CIGRE programme. Georgy Podporkin, Director of Development and Innovations, Marina Ermoshina, Head of Alternative Design, and R&D designer of power grids automation department Asia Codino told scientific and technical forum delegates about the achievements in developing innovative technologies of lightning protection with the use of multi-chamber line lightning protection devices for overhead power lines and took part in working groups and meetings of scientific committees from different countries.
Streamer's exhibition booth which showed the Company and its partners' products - the most recent multi-chamber LLPDs for transmission lines up to 72 kV; Fault Passage Indicator CL (designed by A-TREE Research & Development Company Ltd.); high-tech equipment for continuous drying of paper insulation for oil-filled transformers TRANSEC power transformers monitoring systems – gained great popularity among CIGRE visitors.
"The main objective of our Company at the CIGRE 2018 was to present our products and have discussions with potential and existing partners and distributors from Europe, Southeast Asia and Russia. “For five days of the Paris Exhibition we met many of our overseas colleagues and friends, set promising contacts with companies from different regions of the world and reached a number of important agreements on joint cooperation", marketing manager Elena Kudinova said.
The Streamer authorities recognized the CIGRE-2018 participation outcomes successfully. In 2020, the Company will again take part in a Paris forum, in a broader format. The Company decided to increase the exhibition space 2 times, up to 30 sq. m., and organise an exclusive stand. The preparation for the 48th CIGRE's Session has already started.

CIGRE 2022 finished last week

Prof. Amedeo Andreotti was looking for medium voltage line protection devices for E-Distribuzione, the Distribution utility of Italy, part of the ENEL group owner of the electrical network in Italy but also many other electrical networks around the world. E- Distribuzione is actively looking to improve the lightning outage rate on their overhead line network and particularly in the northern part of Italy.
