FIPRES Thermal Watch Infrared technology consists of 3 main products (TWS, TWR and TWC), which work together and provide information regarding the dangerous overheating remotely through SCADA system and discrete output.

TWS – Thermal Watch Sensor
TWS sensors are mounted on cables or busbars near contact points using cable ties, screws, or mounting plates. They continuously monitor temperature and transmit data wirelessly to the TWR-IR receiver located within the same compartment.

TWS will send information about the current temperature 24/7 every set temperature monitoring schedule duration together with information about battery condition, ID of the device, and current mode of operation. In emergency situations when the temperature rises above 30-110 °C the TWS goes into Alarm mode, starting blinking with a visual red LED on the sensor, and sending information to TWR-IR.

TWR-IR – Thermal Watch Infrared receiver, TWR-DIN – Thermal Watch DIN-receiver
TWR-IR – Thermal Watch Infrared receiver is a device that will receive infrared signal from TWS sensor and transmit this information to the main body – TWR-DIN DIN receiver.

The TWR-DIN collects data from multiple TWR-IR receivers (available in configurations for 1, 5, or 13 receivers). It supports installations across large and compartmentalized electrical panels, such as:
•Motor control centers (MCCs)
•Complex switchgear systems with separate compartments (e.g., busbars, cables, circuit breakers)

Once an alarm signal is received, the TWR-DIN transmits it to external systems via:
•Modbus (for SCADA/BMS integration)
•Dry contact output (for other alarm systems)

vFPT – visual Fire Prevention Thermolabel
vFPTs are self-adhesive thermal indicator stickers made of composite material that irreversibly change color when the threshold temperature is reached. The thermolabels continuously monitor the temperature,  allowing register the fact of exceeding one or more temperatures by a contact or contact connection during the operation of the electrical installation.
