Streamer in Summer Biathlon Championship in Sosnoviy Bor, Russia
08.10.2020The Summer Open Biathlon Championship (formerly the Tournament for the Prizes of Dmitriy Malyshko) took place on September 26-27, 2020 in Sosnoviy Bor, Leningrad region, Russia.
Streamer places an emphasis on sports and active lifestyle. The company employees take part in various Russian and international sporting events on a regular basis. It is not surprising therefore, that we have been participating in organization of competitions in the summer biathlon for over 20 years. In such competitions, young athletes are able to prove themselves and, also have the chance to meet real Olympic champions.
This event has been traditionally held in late October, but it was decided this year to reschedule it to September to allow us to make the most of the last warm days. Every day of the competition was deemed to be a great success.
Although there were far fewer participants this year than previous years, attendance was still good. Several different age groups from the youngest to senior high students took part in the event, with children arriving from the different regions of the Russian Federation: from the neighbor regions - Saint Petersburg, the Leningrad Region, and Karelia, and also from the distant regions - Sakhalin and Ural.
All athletes demonstrated their eagerness and were enthusiastically competing against each other along the route. Once the race was completed, they were volubly talking and sharing their impressions. Those who had done well in the competition had the good fortune of taking a prize presented to them by Dmitriy Malyshko, a professional biathlete, who was staying with the participants both days of the competition.
Streamer had a large attendance as always – taking part were Vladimir Zhitenev who competed in the 3 km cross sprint, Mikhail Zhitenev, Natalia Groll, Evgeniy Enkin, and Yekaterina Zhiteneva. Another Streamer's employee - Alexander Chusov was a newcomer for the judicial staff, recording the time of the participants who had covered the distance successfully.

Vietnam Ha Giang Power Company will test Streamer innovative devices of lightning protection.

Ha Giang is a mountainous province with a complex topography and experiences extremely high lightning density during the thunderstorm season. 110 kV lines in the province mostly pass through mountainous terrain, many rivers, and streams, so breaks of the line wires due to lightning, are not uncommon. Most of the problem areas are concentrated in areas such as the Nam Ngan hydroelectric power plant and the city of Viet Kuang. Installation of innovative lightning protection devices to provide the region with uninterrupted power supply was necessary.
